Senior Trader

Execute trades for clients in multi-asset class products including Equities, FX, Structured Products

Interface with and trade for several portfolio managers

Trade and provide oversight of transaction costs and operational risks across all securities

Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop a clear trade strategy, including cost forecasting, trade construction, and trade sizing

Provide value-added commentary on security price action, market movements and macro themes

Cross-selling of associated Company services.

Contribute to the drafting of market comments prior to market opening, as well as newsflash related to major market events.

Ensure the trading desk is compliant and follows all market regulations

Report issues and trading errors to local management as well as, where required, to the Advisory Management team.

Act as a liaison with other functions: Middle Office, Back Office, Counterparties, Compliance and Risk.

BVB and ASF certified

Master’s degree in investment, finance, or economics would also prove to be a great advantage.

5 years relevant trading experience in a similar position

Strong interest in the financial market and should have a passion and desire to trade

Knowledge of local market structure and regulatory landscape

Knowledge of capital markets and asset management, as well as, market structure, broker access and regulations.

Self-Starter – able to work with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work under pressure and within a complex organization

Strong analysis capacity, rigor, and accuracy,

Ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets

Ability to anticipate, to have a strategic evolution and to take decisions
