Cost Manager

Real Estate Developer
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and working with the project management team to establish tendering packages;

  • Responsible for developing the entire tendering & contracting process for each work package (review of offers received, clarification meeting with contractor's / suppliers, financial negotiation, contract negotiation, etc);

  • Responsible for contracts management for projects (verification and approval of work statements, variation orders, financial accounts for each contractor / supplier);

  • Responsible for controlling and monitoring project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly coded for recording in the accounting system;

  • Coordinating and working with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work;

  • Investigating any variances from contractual and/or internal requirements. Supporting remedial actions necessary to keep budget on track;

  • Monthly reporting of project costs.

  • Experience in cost reporting/cost engineering and management on complex construction projects;

  • Experience as a quantity surveyor is beneficial but not required;

  • Fluency in English, spoken and written;

  • Experience in residential, retail or commercial construction projects;

  • Demonstrated history of successful cost control and modeling for capital projects;
