Advisory Manager

Client:
Accounting, audit, tax, business advisory and commercial legal services.
Location
Bucharest
Key Responsibilities:
  • Simultaneously manages a portfolio of clients of different sectors

  • Coordinates market research and clients’ data collection for optimum understanding of each client’s industry business & trends, the clients’ “as is” situation as well as their strategic priorities & operational capacity including: interviews/workshops with clients’ employees and/or other stakeholders; personal observation and existing documentation study like processes, reports, manuals etc.

  • Analyses in depth all available information to identify opportunities for further efficiency development in Finance & Accounting, M&A, and MIS.

  • Suggests related solutions, supervises, and supports his/her team on the preparation of solutions material to be proposed to the Clients, and after the approval of the Partner leads the presentation.

  • Overseas the preparation of detailed project plans (including scope, methodology, resources to be engaged, time frame, deliverables and budget) for endorsement by the Partner and presents to the Client for modifications and final approval.

  • Leads and secures project implementation excellence, coordinating on a daily basis the project team, monitoring on-site the progress of the project team members and adjusting the tasks and the work plan when necessary.

  • Demonstrates strong technical skills & knowledge to identify risks, remedy options and risk minimization solutions

  • Continuously communicating with the Partner with respect to project progress – risks, issues, variances from agreed plan in term of time and budget

  • Develops day to day strong relationships with clients to facilitate the completion of project.

  • Ensures that the project has been completed and documented in accordance with the project approved specifications.

  • Monitors, summarizes and communicates to clients significant market trends, critical issues and news related to Finance & Accounting area

  • Monitors, reviews and approves the timesheets of own team members

  • Manages interpersonal relations and inspiring team members

  • Prepares and finalizes team member’s performance evaluations on a timely basis

  • Identifies potential opportunities to provide services to clients (cross-selling)

  • Coaches and trains more junior people

  • Responsible for timely billing and collecting fees from clients as well as for follow-up with them

  • Prepares business plans and budgets for F&A advisory department

  • Conducts monthly team briefings

  • Reports regularly to the Partner in Charge on the following: team members’ utilization and recruitment needs

  • and team members’ performance and any related problems

  • Prepares any special reports requested by partners to assist in running the group

  • Participates in professional networking activities/events (conferences, presentations etc.)

  • Participates in PR activities representing the firm as assigned

  • Fills in own timesheets in time, complies to the allocated hourly budget of the assigned tasks, controls team’s budget and takes corrective actions in case of any deviation to secure efficiency and on time delivery.

Requirements:
  • Finance, business, or Accounting education background, at ACCA/MBA/CFA level preferred.

  • Good working knowledge of current accounting software systems, ERP’s and BIS’s.

  • 10+ years of experience in Audit, Finance & Accounting, Advisory, M&A, including if possible, investment banks.

  • 5+ years’ experience on Project Management

  • 2+ years’ experience on People Management

  • Proven experience on business planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic decision making.

  • Proven experience on performing deal structures.

  • Proven experience on various valuation methods for developing various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.

  • Proven experience on Romanian & International Accounting Standards as well as on performing due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of transactions.
